Brookworth Luxury Developers meet leading software developers

Location, location, location. When the time comes to move to a new home, we all know that location is arguably the most critical factor – especially if you seek a more luxurious lifestyle.

Specialising in premium property development, Brookworth Homes redefine the luxury living experience by taking a location-first approach to property development, ensuring your surroundings cater to the beauty of your new home. With luxury new build homes in Surrey, East Sussex and West Sussex, their core values – attention to detail, experience, sustainability and technologies – are central to their goal of delivering homes of exceptionally high standards. However, when they realised the need to redesign and reconstruct their own online home, it was time for Brookworth to hand the hammer to Lightflows.

The challenge

From limited to limitless

When we took on the project, Brookworth’s website was previously built on Contentful, a content management system (CMS) that focuses on creating omnichannel digital experiences. While Contentful is a highly regarded CMS, it is closed-source, meaning that there are limitations as to how much it can be modified or extended later, which – in turn – limited Brookworth’s growth potential.

For this reason, we decided to transition the website to Laravel using Statamic, a flexible CMS that utilises powerful content modelling. Namely, the CMS is extremely user-friendly, enabling quick and easy edits, with the option to view in Live Preview mode. This is particularly useful for the client because, once we hand over the project, they can continue to make changes in the backend whilst seeing how it will appear in their customer’s eyes.

The seamless nature and preview abilities of Laravel were especially desirable features for the design and development phase of the new Brookworth website. They allowed us to create the sophisticated yet modern look we envisioned. For instance, the easy-to-modify gallery on the homepage elicits an elegant charm whilst espousing a contemporary presence in the form of sporadic tiles.

Predominantly royal blue and white, Brookworth’s brand colours were also limited. While simplicity is sometimes the answer, we realised that this restricted colour theme did not fully encapsulate the brand’s message of offering exclusive living experiences. Therefore, in developing their brand guidelines, we selected gold as another primary colour to complement the blue and thus give the brand a more luxurious feel.

The solution

Luxury image, luxury experience

To entwine the gold with their preselected brand colours, our designers explored their creativity by inserting elegant gold details across the website, including eyebrow text, accent lines and button outlines. These small but striking features add a personal touch to the Brookworth site and ultimately refine their brand personality.

Furthermore, our detailed designers created textured banners to feature across the site, adding more dimension as the customer navigates their way through different properties and thus enhancing the user journey. The banner pattern repeats a ‘B’ motif in alternating positions to hallmark the brand identity.

With the mobile user in mind, as mobile is integral to customer experience, interactivity was also paramount to our rebranding of Brookworth. For example, on images of both the exterior and interior of a property, circular ‘hotspot’ buttons appear to invite the user to learn further details about its specific features. In addition, we introduced a favouriting system to the properties by installing a ‘heart’ button in the corner of the property images, enabling customers ease of access when they return to the website to view their desired properties.
