The Pirbright Institute, formerly known as the Institute for Animal Health, is a world leading centre of excellence in research and surveillance of virus diseases of farm animals and viruses that spread from animals to humans.
100 Years of The Pirbright Institute
Currently celebrating it’s 100th Year in existence. The Institute is undergoing a renaissance. With the delivery of a new £160Million bio-containment laboratory complex, the Institute cements its importance as a World leading facility.
Drupal Multisite – Open Source CMS
The Institute have chosen the Open Source CMS, Drupal for their new web projects. This continues the trend of large Goverment and Educational institutions choosing Open Source. With no licence fee and robust security, Drupal is the natural choice for replacing legacy Enterprise Content Management Systems.
Drupal multisite the Institute will be able to launch many websites in the coming years at a reduced cost due to a shared codebase powering all sites.

Lightflows were chosen for our track record of delivering large scale Drupal experiences. With a number of Drupal projects delivered to the University of Surrey – who now use Drupal – and our recent experience with the Scotts Miracle-Gro company – deploying four European-wide multi-language sites – We have the experience to deliver Drupal projects of this scale.
